Stand For the Silent

“From the anguish following the death of their own son, Kirk and Laura Smalley founded Stand For The Silent (SFTS) with the sole purpose of preventing any further bullying induced loss of life. Since Stand For The Silent was founded in 2010, the organization's message has reached almost 600,000 youth and community members across the country, and soon, around the world.”
Malcolm Public Schools has joined the movement………
During the week of April 23-27, we will be focusing on bullying education and prevention during 3rd period classes. Each day, teachers and students will be sharing important information about bullying, caring and compassion.
We hope that every Malcolm student listens and thinks about the information that is shared. On Friday, we will unite as a school in seven seconds of silence to represent the need to “stand up” for those who are bullied. After our seven seconds of silence, all students will sign a “Pledge Card” pledging to notbe a bully and to stand up for others. Parents, please be reading next week's Jr/Sr high student daily announcements, in order to use the information as talking points with your children.
