Malcolm Public Schools Employment Application

Malcolm Public Schools

Teacher Application Procedures

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in teaching at Malcolm Public Schools.  The first step in the process is to immediately send a letter of interest and a resume to the District for an advertised position.  Suitable resumes will include teaching experience, degree(s) earned, student teaching experience, other work experience and references.

The second step is to complete an application form.  The Teacher Application can be found below.  The teacher application is a Word document and may be completed by filling in the required information.  Candidates are encouraged to save the document to their computer.

An applicant will be considered to have a completed file when the following have been received by the Malcolm Public Schools: letter of application, resume, application form, letters of recommendation(s), copy of teaching certificate and transcripts.  All information can be mailed or emailed to the appropraite contact person.

Upon completion of a screening process, selected applicants will be called for an interview.  The interview process may include an interview with the building principal, a selected team of teachers, and other district administrators.  This process usually will take place in the building where the advertised position is located.

The candidates selected for the teaching positions will be notified by phone and will have a specified, limited time to respond to a contract offer.  When an offer is accepted, the contract will be submitted to the Malcolm Public Schools Board of Education at their next regularly scheduled meeting for approval (3rd Monday of every month).

Please understand, because of the number of candidates we are unable to notify each candidate of his or her current status; however, an applicant may contact the District regarding the status of the vacancy.  Applicants who have interviewed for a position will be informed of the final selection.

Malcolm Public Schools look forward to receiving your application and are pleased you are interested in educating the students of our District.

Ryan Terwilliger, Superintendent of Schools
Amber Dolliver, Elementary Principal
Greg Adams, Secondary Principal
