Malcolm Public Schools has officially been named a Heart Safe School District through Project ADAM.
Led by our school nurse, Mrs. Crosgrove, staff have worked together to create a cardiac emergency response plan, ensure AEDs are accessible and properly maintained, and receive training on how to recognize and respond to a cardiac emergency. We’ve also worked closely with the Malcolm Fire Department to make sure our response is coordinated and immediate if ever needed.
Sudden cardiac events can happen without warning and having trained staff ready to respond can save a life. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
