These 1st graders had a great time "guest" conducting the HS band! They got to work on their reading skills and the band got some extra rehearsal for their concert on March 4.

Senior Spotlight
Our 3-6 students enjoyed Wildlife Encounters too.
This week is "Leap into Reading" as we celebrated Read Across America Week. Thanks to our awesome MPTO for funding Wildlife Encounters! Our Pk-2 students loved learning about the animals.
Our February ANCHOR winners followed our school expectations. We also had a focus on kindness this month.
NO SCHOOL: Thursday, March 7th
I am thrilled to announce that the Malcolm Boys have qualified for the State Basketball Tournament--congrats to Coach Lew and staff! They will play at Devaney on Thursday, March 7th at 9:00 AM. As usual with a 9:00 AM start, we will cancel school so staff and students can attend.
Mrs. Kopecky's class attended Heritage School on Monday, February 26th. Such a great opportunity for our students.
An ALL school read was a great way to start our Read Across America week.
MPS will host a driver education course May 20-23rd. The course is sponsored by the Nebraska Safety Council, please contact them at 402-483-2513 to register.
